Arrived in Hongkong during the late arvo on sunday
headed to where we were gonna live for the week,
Ocean Pointe
its an apartment and we live on the freaking 52nd floor!
so dammm high up!
its a really pretty place owned by my uncle
Living with my relatives in tt small cosy apartment
so me, my cousins and grandma are bunking in the hall with the big screen TV
we went for dinner together that night
and strolled the lovely hongkong streets near our place
its very nice peaceful and the weather is very cooling where we live
a good break from the busy city life
had waffles and even more desert after dinner
im getting so fat
the apartment is next to the sea!
saw a giant dog along the way!this area is so dog friendly I love it!
nearly everyone has cute dogs
and pamper them with pretty clothes
unlike china =x
yummy wafflesthe next morning we headed to Shen Zhen, China!

we took a train over to hk-china boarder and we walked across !I was still mad tired frm all the sg madness and was falling sleep standing up in the train
the last time I really fell asleep in the train was after zouk out LOL
theres vip line for the train LOL
at customs!
we were only suppose to spend 1 day in Shen Zhen
but the shopping was too damm awesome that we extended our trip 1 more day
to make sure we finish buying all we needed to buy!
the food in Shen Zhen was yummy
BUT me and my whole family are all chinese noobs
I can speak but reading and writing is quite a chore
and their accent is hard to understand somtimes
epic fail!
we look like such fail asians LOL
had to depend on my younger cousin who goes to a chinese sch in KL to help us
we totally dunno how to order food and shit
we had to ask bu mouth about what they have etc.
I think we drove the shop ladies a lil crazy LOL
say what? LOL
my yummy food I managed to order myself LOL
after much hastle we all got what we wanted LOL

so people! learn your chinese! it will really benefit u in the long run!
I love chinese even tho my chinese has always kinda sucked
so 3 things happend
my dad was trying to order, and he depended on pictures to place the orders
I asked my dad to order friend rice as I was craving it
half way through dinner when we realised the fried rice wasnt there
my dad tod us he thinks maybe he now knows why the fried rice didnt come
this was what happend..
Dad *points to what looks like fried rice : " yi ge chao fan " (I want fried rice)
Waitress : " ni shi shou niu rou?" ( u mean beef )
Dad : "dui chao fan" (yes friend rice)
Waitress: "zhe ge shi ...... something something niu rou" (this is (something) beef)
Dad : " dui niu rou chao fan" (yes beef friend rice)
Waitress *gives up

the best!a few other things happend during dinner which was mad funny but its all a "had to be there" moment
a funny stupid thing i did was
we got this voucher looking things
and my cousin said that he thinks its a voucher for the nxt time we come back
and so all of us trusted him since he has p5 standard of chinese
so they asked me to ask the waiter what theses vouchers were for
Me : " xian shen, zhe ge shi zhe me yang yong de?" (how to use these)
Him : " ni shi she me yi si" (what do u mean)
Me : " shi ke yi yong qu guang jie de hai shi chi de hai shi .. " (can it be used for shopping or eating or?)
him : " zhe ge shi fa piao" (these are fa piao)
Me " shen me shi fa piao? " (what is fa piano)
LOLOL at this point my cousins were going "ohhhhhhhh"
and I was still pretty lost
but pretty much, those were like reciepts kinda things
that looked like vouchers wth
FML hahaha
on the up side shopping was awesome. look at the amount of shoes my family bought
we can open a shoe shop

frm puppy mills
they were hell rough with them
and also after someone bought the puppy, they put it in like a plastic bag kinda thing
treating them like items!
makes me so angryyy!!!
Im quite selfish and self centered when it comes to humans
but I have a soft spot for animals esp dogs
and this makes me soo sick
esp since those puppys they sell are WAY TOO YOUNG
to be away from their mother and her milk
like seriously, they r tiny and not fit to be on the streets being mistreated and sold
the pet shops are no better, freaking over crowdedall u can hear are all the puppys whining
and the palce is so dirty
and I saw how they showered the dog
dry with powder thats it
and hold them by the legs upside down to comb the powder out
wth!

this place is so damm cute!and I must say, this place has better toilets then real toilets
the toilets in china are gross

I think eating at modern toilet was one of the highlights of my trip!
over all I kinda enjoyed the trip!
i hate the toilets
hate that it is gross and ppl dont know how to use it
and that they never have tissue paper
TIPS TO SURVIVE CHINA
- bargin bargin bargin in shopping
-if ppl are rude to you, be rude them them back
- bring tissue wherever u go
- learn chinese
- there are no bins u gonna have to just throw your rubbish on the floor (made me mad uncomfortable i keep thinking im in sg and gonna get fined)
- the taxi drivers and all drivers drive like crazy and no one gives way to pedestrians and cyclist, buthe trick is to pretend u are a car and just walk, they will have no choice but to stop for u, its how the chinese roll LOL
I kept thinking I was gonna die
but yup! thats china for you!
